Eva combines her love of punk and nature to create unique pieces with an edge. Her pieces are
borders on mystical while her designs are remincent of fantasy dreamscapes. Her techniques
include stringing, wire wrapping, polymer clay and freeform metal scuplture.
As a child and through her teens Eva studied the dramatic arts, singing, dance and theater. She is
also an accomplished poet. She had a natural flare for the dramatic and uncommon. Unfortunately,She

was diagnosed with heart disease and could no longer participate in the art forms she loved.She
began looking for alternative medicine that would help her cope with her diagnosis. So, she became
fascinated with the new age era. She loved the fact that there was a message of control health, life,
and the power to control it all. She was determined her illness would not control her life.This is why the
new age evolution has had a strong influence on her jewelry and beauty products. The love of nature
and harmony drove her to find safer ways to create beauty products that were from the earth and
Much of her jewelry is inspired by personal perception and conceptual thought. Her techniques
include embroidery,metal smithing, off-loom stitching, and wire crochet. She believes that bead
weaving allows her to control color and form as perceived by the mind's eye. She has recently moved
into metal smithing which allows her to manipulate form and work more with concept design.
Yvette Estime love of color and form was influenced by her psychology studies at Florida Atlantic
University where she received a BA in psychology. Her work focuses more on perception
because of her background in psychology. Her background is in watercolor allows her to express
more fluid lines in her work.
